Abstract

This article explores the Transvestite Museum of Peru (MTP) project, by the artist Giuseppe Campuzano, to weigh its contributions in methodological possibilities for artistic research. I will highlight specific constituents of Campuzano’s work, which open some ways of understanding the complete uniqueness of the tools and procedures he used. The center of this article is the debate about the knowledge produced with artist´s body, the meaning of narrating suffering and the violence applied over the feminized/racialized bodies, and its link with the perception of “different” bodies as a threat of what I call “feminization of the world”. My goal is to emphasize on the capability of the MTP to weaken the indifference and the denial of transvestite beings.
