Digital theory to detonate artistic creation: digital reproduction characteristics as a pedagogical device for the arts

Main Article Content

Abstract

This article approaches theoretical principles of digital media’s characteristics for the development of pedagogical processes of art creation and analysis. The goal is to generate tools for students, teachers and art professionals for analyzing and creatively exploring changes in art and cultural production related to digital reproduction. Digital theory concepts by Lev Manovich, Mark Deuze and Ian Hutchby will be confronted relating them with art theory. The idea is to establish common grounds that allow artists from different disciplines to approach, read and generate creative processes from a critic understanding of a chosen media.
