BETWEEN SPACES IN PETER’S MUSSFELDT SERIES “SOLES”

Abstract

Taking as a central focus the published series “Viaje al círculo de fuego” in the book Los soles de Mussfeldt (Quito, 2014), this article is the result of approaching Peter Mussfeldt ́s experience between Ecuador and Germany articulated arround the idea of the sun. The concept of in-between space is the core topic through which the symbolic meaning of the sun in the artist ́s cultural and personal junction is addressed.  The series, as a corpus, encloses the sense of process between the different variables and the experimentations to interpret experience, at the same time.
