Abstract

The fourth issue of Índex, a contemporary art magazine, focused on the theme of Art History as its central theme. We received in this edition a large number of articles, both from Ecuador and other countries in the region, with special representation from Chile, Colombia and Venezuela. In the arbitration process many of these proposals were rejected, it is not easy to handle an arbitrated journal, especially if we try to maintain a quality level in our publication. However, this search for quality has been rewarded thanks to the fact that this magazine is indexed in four important indexes and databases: LATINDEX, REDIB, DIALNET and Actualidad Latinoamericana. Inclusion in indexes and databases ensures that the collaborations of the authors and authors will be disseminated, and that the knowledge generated is a dynamic knowledge, one that fits the current thinking about the free dissemination of content under the framework of free access .
