The social world beyond the human: multispecies relationships through contemporary Amazonian art
Main Article Content
Abstract
This text addresses how contemporary Amazonian indigenous art is a possibility to investigate indigenous cosmogonies and their way of understanding sociality, which is composed of multi-species political relations, exchanges between different worlds. The images contained in the exhibition "Indigenous Ontologies in Political and Poetic Contemporary Amazonian Arts of the Forest" show how these different existences challenge the traditional separation between nature and culture, creating a space for more fluid exchange.
